3: Impending Storms

Exalted Lords of the Night,

As expected, Phase One is proceeding according to plan. All cloud movement along the eastern front is being dismissed as 'unusually overactive lower atmospheric activity.' The heavy coverage in the troposphere is doing an excellent job of hiding the bulk of our forces gathered in the mesosphere and stratosphere. Only a handful of nephologists have observed this behavior and are being ridiculed as radicals by a vast majority of the scientific

community. The first wave of storms will reach the Midwestern states in two days time at which point they will undergo rapid adiabatic expansion to quickly gain elevation and join the noctilucent and polar stratospheric clouds at the predetermined elevation to achieve an optimal saturation point. From there, the main assault will be concentrated on designated targets that would be most likely to cause the heaviest resistance upon early realization of their grave circumstances. Under cover of night, once the ground is soft from heavy rainfall, the main branches of the Pirate Floodgates will be raised into position. Around dawn, cloud coverage will switch to cover the perimeter, allowing pockets of sunlight to power our solar towers which will be used in aiding the melting of the polar ice shards. I believe that aid from your elite skirmishers would be most instrumental during the erection of the Pirate Floodgates, attached is a list of the areas most susceptible to attack at which reinforcements would be most helpful.

Concerning the nuisance who has caused the core resistance during these preparations, our intelligence has produced poor results and I am therefore forced into personally overseeing his immediate capture and termination. His latest charade, in the form of a petition, was the major motivation in the acceleration of our plans. So far, only several small towns have embraced his call to action, but he is building momentum with every successful raid on our forces. If it is at all possible, one of your rank could prove instrumental in turning him towards our cause. Please consider this possibility.

In Humble Service,

Captain H_____
